From the Evansville Police Department:
Robert C. Williams was arrested for 3 counts of Battery on Law Enforcement, Resisting Law Enforcement, Public Intoxication, and Disorderly conduct. 
Williams was reportedly causing a disturbance at a residence and had damaged some property. The complainant told officers Williams had also chased some kids while holding a knife.
Two officers arrested Williams and were taking him to jail, but had topull over when Williams began kicking them from the back seat. A third officer arrived to assist and Williams was placed in the back of a transport van for the rest of trip. While being placed in the van, Williams continued to be violent and kicked the officers again. 
Once at the jail, Williams had to be placed in a restraint chair to stop him from battering anyone else.
